Description
In March 2005 drummer Teun Verbruggen (Jef Neve trio, Flat Earth Society…) invited the eccentric guitar player Mauro Pawlowski (dEUS, Somnambula) and piano-Rhodes wizard Jozef Dumoulin (Mäâk Spirit, Magic Malik, Octurn…) to play a single session based on pure improvisation. The result left most people wondering how the categorize what they had just heard and landed them gigs in Jazz Middelheim, Blue Note festival Gand , North Sea Jazz Festival, the Petrol and the Flanders Jazz Meeting I (during which Othin Spake was the most controversial band even causing a debate whether this was Jazz)
6 years later the band has played at many Jazz and alternative venues both in Belgium and abroad, released three cd’s and invited several guests to play with them : bass legend Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantomâs, John Zorn), New York harpist extraordinaire Shelley Burgon, Pianist Fred Vanhove, St Germain’s boulevard flutist Magic Malik and last but not least New York saxophoneplayer Andrew d’Angelo to play a series of concerts.
