‘Early 80’s New Order meets early 90’s The Cure while ‘ Bossanova’ era Pixies look on’
Cromwell was formed at the end of 2020 from a creative lockdown eruption of musician- producer Simon Kappers, bass player Emilie Blom (formerly with notorious Dutch legends The Scene) and multi-instrumentalist Klaus Wagner (who most definitely is not a notorious Belgian legend operating under a pseudonym). This mysterious bunch of musicians knew and admired each other’s work but had never met in real life and a little thing called COVID gave them some extra time on their hands to get acquainted in the digital world.

In the fall of 2020 they collaborated online in their own studios and began recording. Across the Brexit pond on Plague Island, Jezus Factory Records took notice and decided this was too good to remain unreleased and instead got very excited. The results are here for you to hear in the shape of the debut EP “37 °” (The 37 degrees EP).  The first single to be lifted is ‘My Darkest Hour’.
